1. What type of site do I need?

There are three basic types of web sites:

Informational / Brochure sites

Interactive Sites

E-commerce sites

INFORMATIONAL / BROCHURE SITES

Those sites that can only be browsed by the surfer. They cannot leave any information, nor can they download information. These are the simplest type of sites and by far the most common on the web currently.

INTERACTIVE SITES

The interactive web site is a site where surfers can either request information, leave comments or where they can download information, software or graphics. Other forms of interactivity such as chat rooms and message boards are also very popular but more technical. This type of site is becoming more popular as technology is more widely available and less expensive.

E-COMMERCE SITES

These are most commonly known as e-commerce or online shopping sites. If you have services or products you want to sell then this is the site for you.

There are many other different types of Websites to meet many types of needs. What are you looking for? Don't settle for a cookie-cutter, run-of-the-mill Website. RockfordFX can make your presence on the web stand out from the others.

2. How much does it cost for effective stunning website?

The price of a website varies from site to site depending on the size and complexity of the site and the time it takes to design and develop it. We will discuss the pricing and payment options for your site after evaluating your needs. After we evaluate your site we will send you a proposal based on the evaluation results.

3. How do you build your websites?

We build our sites with passion and care, this is what we do for a living and we love it! We design our sites entirely in Flash. We design for the best user experience possible adhering to documented usability guidelines.

4. I own a business, how do you make my site meet its objectives?

In traditional user-centered design, focus is on users needs and their use of the product, while marketing is left to the marketing department. On the web, usability and marketing go hand in hand. Whether commercial or not, a web site has to meet the need of its users and at the same time convince them to take action, for the objectives behind the site to be meet. "Usability by itself only reduces your customers’ frustration level. That’s important, of course, but still a far cry from guiding your customers into doing what they want to do and you want them to do: buying." For a site to meet its strategic objectives, it has to orient and direct its target audience through the process of conversion, whether that conversion is buying a product, subscribing to a newsletter, making a phone call, or exploring related information. To incorporate such objectives, we have to think beyond the boundaries of ease of use.

We make your website easy for your visitors to use, so they'll become more proficient users. But we want them to become your customers also, So we think beyond usability. Think of it like taking a road trip. Usability gets rid of the obstacles to driving: the potholes, the bad signage, the dead ends. It makes it easy for your customers to go places comfortably, smoothly, with minimal interruption, but it can't intrinsically tell them where they ought to be going much less how to get to where they want to go in the quickest, easiest way.

We don't just want your customers to take any road. We want them focused on a destination: buying. And we want them to take the road that leads them to, and through, buying what they want in a way that is not only quick and easy but also comfortable and delightful. To accomplish this, we not only have to remove the obstacles, we must also guide, encourage, persuade, influence and motivate your customers in a specific direction. That we accomplish through Information Architecture, layout, choice and function of graphics and icons, applying your understanding of consumer psychology, embodying a systematic selling process into your site design, and at least as important, choosing powerful and compelling words. Not only do we make your site usable, and do it well. But we also sell them!

5. What do you need from me to get started?

After we receive the first payment, we will begin designing and developing your site immediately.

6. How long will it take for you to create and finish my website?

After we receive the first payment, we will begin designing and developing your site immediately. The time it takes to complete the site varies from site to site depending on the size and complexity of the site. We complete our websites in a timely manner. We value quality ( takes a bit more time ) over a poorly made site made quickly. Rushing anything usually requires one to sacrifice quality, so we take the time needed to make your effective stunning website.

7. What if I want and need a website but I'm not sure where to start and what to do?

Well, you are already on the right track by visiting our website. Contact us and we will evaluate your needs and goals for your website, and we will give you a free consultation and proposal. We will guide you and answer any questions you may have every step of the way.

8. Who will maintain my website after its finished?

It is up to you if you want to maintain your site yourself or have us maintain it for you. We will discuss maintenance charges during our interview with our clients.

9. What if I want to sell my products or services online?

We design and develop effective E-commerce sites in flash using Paypal engine for credit card processing. Here are just a few we have already done:

10. What if I already have a website, but I would like it improved and enhanced?

Yes, we can work with your existing website too. We will evaluate your current website and send you a proposal on what we feel could be improved and enhanced.

11. What are the different types of website navigational structures ( Website architecture) ?

There are five main types of flow architectures: Linear, Hierarchical, Grid, Circle, Web

Linear: Linear Website Diagrams are designed like books. Access is sequential. Linear sites are preferred if you are presenting as series of steps or tracking a process from start to finish.

Hierarchical: Hierarchical structures or Tree-design website Diagrams have a Homepage that serves as the "table of contents" to other WebPages in the Website. Unlike the linear design, the hierarchical Website design provides more than one path that a user may take.

Grid: Grid design websites provide self contained rooms of information. The structure allows for moving between rooms that most appropriately placed together such as a kitchen dinning room. The Dinning room may link to the living room room, but does not link to the bedroom.

Circular: Circular sites provides a central point from which to reach all 360º of the content. All pages are linked in a circular or passage fashion to that the user can circum navigate the entire site. This site provides the opportunity to travel round the entire site while providing immediate return to the startpoint at any time.

Web: In the way a spider weaves a web it is designed to catch the user and then provide easy access to the content the user is looking for. All the pages are inter-linked to allow direct access from one page to another.

12. How do people evaluate a web site's credibility?
